Wicklow Weekend Workshop (max 6 people)

Experience some great photographic locations and get some great technical advice exploring Ireland's wonderful Wicklow with fine art photographers Ed and Peter Gordon. As both Ed and Peter will be leading this workshop all skill levels can be catered for.

Peter has been photographing the area for many years and has an intimate knowledge of locations for sunrise, sunset and daytime shooting. Consequently you will receive the benefit of technical information and a wealth of location experience.

The main photographic focus will be on landscape photography and abstract depictions of the natural environment. While an SLR camera and tripod are essential, we can cater to al levels of photography taking you through the basics of exposure to advanced techniques such as the zone system.

We do not set out a specific location itinerary as Peter will bring you to the best locations under prevailing light conditions. As a general guide however, we will be visiting areas such as Wicklow Head, the Sally Gap, Powerscourt, Glendelough and more. We will be photographing lakes, rivers, forests, bogland and seascapes as well as intimate details found in all locations.

The workshop will begin at 10.30am on Saturday and end at sunset. On Sunday we will start at sunrise and finish at 5pm.

Dublin One Day Workshop (Max 4 people)

Our one day Dublin workshop is a great opportunity to further your skills both in the field and on the computer. Two courses are provided. One for beginners and another for those photographers with a bit more practice under their belt.

The focus of the day will be on seascapes of Dublin bay and also on processing your imagery. To this end half of the day will be spent out in the field making images and the other half processing your imagery on the computer.

The beginners workshop will begin at 11am and run until sunset while the intermediate course will start at sunrise ans finish at 4pm. Consequently the beginners will get to grips with some basic knowledge before photographing evening light while the more experienced photographers will shoot the best light of the day and have this imagery critiqued and processed in the afternoon. A brief meeting will also take place on Friday night so we can all meet and asses each participants needs.
