Photography Wicklow

The wonderful diversity of Wicklow's landscape provides endless opportunities for the photographer. You can find beautiful photo ops both along the Wicklow coast and more inland in areas such as the beautiful Sally Gap. My photographic experience in Wicklow has found its focus in both of these regions.

The former is an area I plan to explore further over the coming months as I seek out new photo ops. I have been fortunate to witness some beautiful scenes to date and I now hope there is more to come. The coast line itself provides diversity within diversity. You can photograph long sandy beaches which run for miles or else set up your tripod in more rugged cliff dominated coastline. The choices are endless.

Wicklow's Sally Gap and the Lough Tay area are also a wonderful of photographic inspiration for the landscape photographer. The region boasts a beautiful combination of montains, bogland and pituresque rivers. I have visited this area countless times for both sunrise and sunset hoping to capture a special moment in time when all elements combine to provide a scene of true unique beauty. Even when this doesn't happen its still a real joy to wander through these stunning mountains and bogland.

Long may it continue..
